Happy Dragon Boat Festival-Liteharbor

Dragon Boat Festival is a celebration that can be traced back  thousands of years to China, where people marked this day to honor Chinese scholar and poet Qu Yuan and his death.

The Dragon Boat Festival falls on the fifth day of May in the Lunar Calendar, while the Gregorian Calendar (used in the United States and much of the world) has it at the end of May or early in June. Therefore, the festival falls on a different day each year. This year the festival is on Friday, June 3rd.

The Dragon Boat Festival is also called May Festival. Traditional customs include making rice dumplings, dragon boat races and hanging moxa.

And the traditional food is Zongzi (rice dumpling). A notable part of celebrating Dragon Boat Festival is making and eating Zongzi with family and friends. The reason why we must eat zongzi on this special day is because it is considered as a symbol of luck. And it has become one of the most influential and widely covered folk diets of the Chinese nation.

June.3rd, 2022 is the Dragon Boat Festival, and we will have three-day holiday. Have you ever eaten our Zongzi? Have you tried our dragon boat race? Liteharbor Lighting warmly invite you to try. Here, all the members of the Liteharbor wish you and your family a happy Dragon Boat Festival.
